Validated Vegan

About certification

Proof that your product is truly vegan.

Vegan certification is an independent, third-party process that confirms a product contains no animal ingredients, uses none in its manufacture, and has not been tested on animals.

Why get certified?

Earn the trust — and the business — of vegan shoppers.

Vegan consumers actively look for a recognised certification mark before they buy. A logo from a trusted third party tells them, instantly, that the claim has been checked.

That trust only works if the certifier is genuinely independent and genuinely strict. Validated Vegan reviews the full picture — ingredients, suppliers, processing aids, shared equipment and animal-testing history — before a single seal is issued.

A known standard

Your product is measured against a clear, published set of requirements — not a vague marketing claim.

Credibility

Independent inspection and audit give your vegan claim the authority of a third party with nothing to gain from a pass.

Market value

Certified products can be marketed as vegan worldwide, opening doors to retailers and shoppers in a fast-growing segment.

The known standards

A certified product
may not contain…

Before a product can carry the Validated Vegan seal, it must meet every one of these requirements.

Including any derivative of them.

Or insect by-products such as silk and carmine dyes.

Animal by-products

Honey and bee products, eggs, milk and milk products.

Bone-char processing

Including sugar filtered through bone char.

Animal-sourced materials

Leather, bone, down, shell, wool, cashmere, angora, suede, mohair.

Animal-based processing aids

For filtering, defoaming or clarifying alcohol, syrups and juices.

Animal testing

On the finished product or any of its ingredients.

Animal-derived GMOs

No animal genes. Non-animal GMOs are permitted.

Why trust Validated Vegan?

Inspected. Audited. Then — and only then — certified.

We are a third-party certifying agency that physically inspects, reviews, audits and certifies products as vegan.

Our inspectors bring years of experience in food processing and standards auditing. Only products that meet every requirement receive a Letter of Certification — valid for one year and renewed through annual audit.
